SUMMARY:Katie McMahon’s Celtic Celebration
DESCRIPTION:Katie McMahon is probably best known for her exquisite soaring soprano solo in the original Riverdance single\, which topped the charts in Ireland. Her voice was described by the Irish Times as “poetry\, perfection\, and purity”. McMahon was born and raised in Dublin\, Ireland. She was classically trained in voice and harp and studied Italian and Drama Studies at Trinity College Dublin. She was awarded best folk and acoustic artist by the Minnesota Music Academy. McMahon has also toured the world with the group Secret Garden as their lead singer & harpist. The Celtic Celebration will include Katie McMahon with a music ensemble and Celtic dancers.

DESCRIPTION:Swiss-born American classical pianist of world renown and talent\, Mr. Vonsattel loves to perform a program featuring some classical “war horses” intermingled with some lesser-known pieces. He is quite comfortable making friends with every audience while displaying his musicality\, dynamism\, power\, and sensitivity. This program will feature Beethoven’s sonatas\, one or two each performance\, balanced with some familiar melodies. Mr. Vonsattel is professor of piano at UMass Amherst\, has played around the world\, and is a Steinway artist.

DESCRIPTION:The Sinta Quartet is on a mission to bring the versatility\, homogeneity\, and excitement of the saxophone to audiences everywhere. The quartet’s program takes the audience on an adventure through time\, geography\, and genre\, often mixing classics from the 18th\, 19th\, and 20th centuries with commissions by today’s composers and rollicking in-house arrangements from various folk traditions. \nThe group grew up in drastically different parts of the US. They met while studying at the University of Michigan\, under the legendary saxophone professor Donald Sinta\, naming the group after him because of his profound influence on each member.

Considered one of the preeminent fingerstyle guitarists in the world today\, performing complex arrangements that feature the bassline\, chords\, and melody all played simultaneously\, Robinson carries forward the legacy of legendary guitarists Chet Atkins\, Merle Travis\, Lenny Breau\, and Tommy Emmanuel while adding a flavor of artistry very much his own. His guitar prowess is such that it’s hard to believe he is playing alone! \nBorn and raised in the Australian bush\, Robinson won first place on the “Australia’s Got Talent” television show at age 16. Albright not only graduated with the prestigious Artist Diploma (A.D.) from The Juilliard School\, and a Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance from the New England Conservatory\, he also completed a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Pre-Med at Harvard. Albright is an official Steinway Artist.
